The North American Die Casting Association (NADCA) has asked East West Associates (EWA) to speak at their October Marketing Conference in Indianapolis, IN. Since our company’s focus is developing and executing manufacturing strategies in China and Vietnam, our presentation will detail the major challenges our clients face establishing Asian operations, primarily Subcontracting, Joint Venture, Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE) and Foreign Invested Commercial Enterprises (FICE) formations.
North American die cast manufacturers are currently executing sourcing and offshore manufacturing opportunities in Asia for primarily 3 reasons:
Customer Support: Company has Asian customers who want their supplier nearby, i.e. US customers with operations in China.
Market Penetration: Company has determined an Asian country is a good market for their products and decides to penetrate and gain market share.
Low Cost: Company has determined they must transfer some or all of the product manufacturing to Asia in order to remain competitive.
EWA’s presentation will focus on how best to implement manufacturing and market entry strategies in Asia which meet the company’s goals. Please feel free to recommend any particular subjects which you want addressed in our presentation.
