EW Project Implementation begins at the execution stage of the client's Asian initiative, using the client's Business Plan and Project Management Tool as the framework. EW Project Management comprises complete in-country, hands-on management of the entire implementation process by a China or Vietnam experienced operations executive, who is supported by other EW consultants with broad functional experience in China or Vietnam on an as-needed basis. Project Implementation is generally more effective using a comprehensive Project Plan that utilizes project management software with English and target country language capabilities. This plan can be developed by the client or EW.
The characteristics of the Project Implementation phase are:
- Typically underestimated in terms of complexity and resources
- Potential for major cost overruns
- Requires coordination across time zones and multi-cultural teams executing in the US and Asia
- Significant potential for contentious partner/government issues
- Potential for significant schedule delays
- Greatest test of Corporate experience, commitment and leadership
