Prior to this assignment, Mark took early retirement from Owens Corning in 2005 with over 30 years of corporate and manufacturing operations experience. He was nominated to Owens Corning's Manufacturing Excellence Council in recognition of superior leadership for the top manufacturing executives in the company.

During his tenure with Owens Corning, Mark held leadership positions in a number of domestic manufacturing operations in Ohio, Georgia, and Texas. In his last assignment as Plant Leader, his facility was recognized as Plant-of-the-Year, four years in a row. Prior to those assignments, he led a corporate-based Finance team for five years which provided advice and counsel to Owens Corning's largest and most profitable insulation Division.

Part of Mark's experience with Owens Corning included operations consulting in China. Mark and his family relocated to Shanghai in the late 1990's in support of the company's rapid growth in the Asian region. That work included establishing joint ventures, setting up a China holding company, and providing managerial support to the company's Asia-Pacific regional office in Hong Kong.

Mark has a wealth of hands-on knowledge and experience in P&L management, business planning, multi-site operations, selection and hiring of successful leaders, process improvement, ISO certifications, capital expenditure planning and management, LEAN and Six Sigma leadership, joint venture partnerships and international alliances - to name a few.

While living in China, Mark and his wife volunteered to teach conversational English in their free time, both in their home and at local language institutions. They are currently located in the USA and live in the Columbus, Ohio area.
