Prior to the creation of East West, many of the executives and consultants established Asian manufacturing and distribution facilities for their respective companies. In fact, the East West team is responsible for establishing over 15 manufacturing entities in Asia over the past 15 years. Applying our deep operational and manufacturing experience, East West has codified our defined methodology in the listed Services.
Establishing manufacturing and distribution capabilities in Asia can include:
- Developing a subcontracting and distribution arrangement with an Asian supplier
- Entering into a Joint Venture with manufacturing and distribution capabilities
- Establishing a manufacturing and distribution facility
East West supports our clients on each step of the process - from development of the Business Case to qualification of a new manufacturing plant. In order to successfully execute this manufacturing and distribution strategy, there is up-front work in the US which is critical to a successful execution. For example, the client needs to have a defined Business Plan which includes all operational, manufacturing and financial projected costs as well as modify existing Business Processes to ensure they can be successfully implemented in an Asian expansion.
Our clients have engaged East West in their projects because our deep Asian operational and manufacturing experience enables us to:
- Reduce project time and costs, so the client can get the product manufactured quicker and develop a solid cash flow
- Avoid making the same mistakes of those companies with less Asian experience - additionally, companies with limited experience have to spend additional money to correct their initial mistakes and increases the cost projections
- Effectively trouble-shoot and resolve the inevitable problems which occur with establishing manufacturing and distribution capabilities in a foreign market.
- Prevent the loss of money not projected in the Business Plan and protect the planned expenditures from increasing due to delays or development/execution mistakes.
