Senior Human Resources Director
Jenny Zhu serves as the Senior Human Resources (H/R) Director for East West and in this capacity, provides H/R services for clients in Asia, including conducting H/R Due Diligence evaluations on acquisition targets, developing/implementing H/R policies for companies operating in China, recruitment of senior level executives, assessment of existing employees and their responsibilities, and implementation of H/R training programs.
Jenny has served in senior H/R positions with a number of Western multinational companies and Chinese firms, including Schneider Electric Investment Co. Ltd, Murphy Instruments Co. Ltd, Phonak Co. Ltd, and Jiangyin Alcom Solar Energy Equipments Co. Ltd.
As H/R and Administrative Director for Jiangyin Alcom Solar Energy Equipments Co, Jenny had full H/R responsibilities for a 600 employee manufacturing operation in China. In this role, she advised the General Manager and senior executives on all H/R related issues, including recruitment strategies and programs, implemented training programs for internal usage and new employee orientation, established performance appraisal systems, wrote the H/R manuals based on new Chinese labor laws, and negotiated labor contracts governing termination and annual leave.
As H/R and Administrative Manager for Phonak China, Jenny had responsibility for a 500 employee operation. The company had wholesale, retail and manufacturing divisions which required targeted H/R policies for each division.
At Schneider Electric, Jenny served as the H/R and Administrative Manager and had responsibility for an 800 person operation in a number of different divisions, including R&D, Logistics, Global Procurement and Sales and Marketing. She also completed recruitment projects at Chinese universities to fill new hiring needs.
During her work at Murphy Instruments, Jenny has H/R responsibilities for a newly established manufacturing operation of the US company. In addition to serving as the H/R manager, Jenny advised the American General Manager on Chinese H/R regulations and served as the company representative to local Chinese governmental officials.
Jenny is a graduate of Langzhou University and has an MBA from the China People University. She majored in English and American Literature and is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, English and French.
