- For a US software company which develops management software for industrial companies, East West developed a market entry strategy, primarily highlighting the procedures protecting the IP, channels of distribution, the pricing and quality of competitive software and governmental regulations. Additionally, East West identified and qualified several reputable 3rd parties to support the client's distribution.
- For a water quality analytical instrumentation company with a China operation, East West was hired to investigate and determine whether the CEO and CFO were stealing the company's IP and secondly, had started their own company to manufacture the knock-off product. East West was able to identify the new facility which was under construction and determine their product specifications were those of the instrumentation company.
- For a Western agricultural manufacturer with a plant in China, East West was hired to perform an Operational Audit of the Chinese factory and make specific recommendations to improve the operational and financial health of the company. Upon completion and presentation of our recommendations, East West was hired to perform an Operational Restructuring which included, developing a new P&L, firing the General Manager and implementing business process procedures which brought financial transparency to the corporation.
- For a Western chemical manufacturer, East West was hired to identify and qualify potential Chinese suppliers and subsequently, develop Company Profiles on those suppliers which survived the qualification process. East West identified a number of suppliers and after completing the qualification process, conducted Profiles on the remaining manufacturers. The client has successfully engaged the Chinese manufacturer to subcontract the client's needed chemicals.
- For several Western mid-sized consumer goods companies, East West is serving as the client's 'procurement team' in China and manages the whole process from price inquiry, technical issue coordination, raw material and finished goods testing, on-site quality checks and freight forwarding shipments. The products include pet supplies and high-end bedding and home furnishings.
