Identification and qualification of potential partners (mfg, distributors, licensees, etc.)

For clients entering China, EW can identify and qualify a list of potential partners, who are local Chinese or Western firms. EW has identified a variety of different partners, including subcontractors, Joint Venture partners, distributors and licensees.

EW has a defined methodology and process for conducting this investigation, which is tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. This process includes:

  • Establishing the correct partner criteria - based on our experience operating in China, EW will add criteria which are China-specific and would not be included in the criteria usually provided by Western firms
  • Developing an extensive list of identified targeted partners and screening against this criteria list
  • Gathering Competitive Intelligence and Market information on qualified candidates which survived initial screening
  • Auditing the potential partner's Operational, Manufacturing, Technical capabilities
  • Crafting and implementing the negotiation strategy with these partners
