Mr. Zhong began his career in mechanical design and engineering with Guangzhou Hi-Watt Battery Co. He was subsequently hired by Owens Corning China as a production supervisor at their building materials plant in Guangzhou, China. Over the next 13 years, Mr. Zhong was promoted within Owens Corning to Production Manager, Operations Manager and eventually became Plant Manager in 2000.

As Plant Manager, Mr. Zhong had responsibility for all plant operations, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Procurement, Quality control, Finance, Human Resources, Product Development and Research & Development.

Mr. Zhong was subsequently promoted as Plant Manager for three additional Owens Corning plants in Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin, China.

In 2008, Mr. Zhong was appointed Operational Leader of Owens Corning’s Building Material Asia Pacific manufacturing team for all Owens Corning plants in the Asia Pacific region. His responsibilities included development of manufacturing and operational solutions, management of all Capital Projects plans and Quality Assurance improvement programs for their Asian Pacific manufacturing and distribution plants. He managed a team of engineers, including senior-level process engineers, electrical control engineers, project management engineers and a quality control engineer.

Mr. Zhong has recently served as the Manufacturing Director for a Fiber Composite Panel manufacturer, which supplies the Chinese construction industry for the building of medical centers, homes, warehouses and schools. In this role, Mr. Zhong had responsibility for Manufacturing, Quality Control, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Procurement, Research & Development, and Environmental Health & Safety.
