A business audit is similar to a manufacturing audit, but it focuses on parts of the business other than manufacturing itself. Depending on client requirements, it can involve assessments of the sales and marketing process, distribution channels, supply chain and procurement, logistics, product development, senior executive evaluations, credit and accounts receivable and other business processes of interest. It is used by companies to improve their operations and is often used as part of due diligence process for acquisition or investment.
